Kepie is a meal-planning app built by Custard Square in Auckland, New Zealand. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email privacy@kepie.app.

You can start without an account

You can plan a whole week without signing up. When you use Kepie anonymously, your preferences (like what you eat and which stores you shop at) are stored on your own device, not on our servers. Clear your browser data and it's gone.

What we collect if you create an account

When you choose to sign up, we store the minimum needed to sync your plan across devices:

  • Your email address, used to sign you in.
  • Your preferences — dietary choices, allergens, household size and chosen stores.
  • The plans and shopping lists you build, so they're there when you come back.
  • Basic activity (dinners chosen, items marked bought) so the app can plan around your pantry and improve its picks for you.

What we never do

  • We never sell your personal data to anyone, individually.
  • We don't take a cut from supermarkets, and we don't share your identity with them.
  • We don't use your data for advertising profiles.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies — to keep you signed in and, during our pre-launch period, to remember you've passed the access screen. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Where your data lives

Account data is stored securely with our infrastructure providers (including Supabase) and is protected so that only you can read your own records. We keep it only as long as your account is active.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal records from our systems. To make a request, email privacy@kepie.app.

Changes to this policy

As Kepie grows we may update this page. When we make a material change we'll update the date above. Kepie is pre-launch, and this policy will be finalised before we open to the public.
